Transportation

Newport’s Pier Six offers unsurpassed access to the entire tri-state transportation network and is just one subway stop from Manhattan.

There are three major public transportation stations on-site at Newport. The PATH subway station provides 24-hour service to downtown and midtown Manhattan, as well as New York’s Penn Station, which offers connections to Amtrak, the Long Island Rail Road, and the NYC Subway system. Ferry service runs from Newport to midtown Manhattan every 30 minutes on weekday rush hours. And, the Newport Hudson-Bergen Light Rail station provides surface transportation to commuters across northern New Jersey. The Hoboken Terminal, which is one stop away on the Light Rail or a short walk along Newport’s Waterfront Walkway, provides access to NJ Transit trains, NY Waterway ferries, and the Air Train to Newark Liberty International Airport. In addition, Newport is served by Jersey City’s and neighboring municipalities’ bus lines.

Newport sits atop the ingress-egress of the Holland Tunnel and offers direct access to the New Jersey Turnpike, US Routes 1 and 9, and Interstate 78. On-site parking is available for those who arrive by car.
